why won't my 79 cad deville turn over?

got in and it turned over but no start. hasn't been started in about a week. tried
it again and no noise anywhere.  all I got was generator light on dash. has new
battery and new alternator

I'd test the battery if it is below 12V. If so then you have a parasitic draw. Further testing is required to find the culprit. search online for the procedure.
