Battery is cgarged motor wont turn over

Asked by Jun 13, 2016 at 09:48 AM about the 2000 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab Stepside SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Battery is charged  when I turn it over it just clicks
one time then nothing lights windows and gauges

Is motif locked up


Check all the connections to the starter motor, clean tight? IF yes, the try a light tap on the starter motor it might be failing. IF still nothing have someone preform a voltage drop test on the starter circuit, simple with a multimeter. WAS the vehicle running fine before the battery lost its charge? Regards

Most likely starter solenoid is not working in starter. Replace the starter.
