I have a 2000 3.8L V6 automatic ford
mustang. I was wondering if I could
put a V8 in it? Would I also need to
change the transmission? I pretty
much want to change my car into a
GT. Any help would be appreciated.
Do you really know what you are getting into? Electronics will have to be changed, front suspension, brakes, mounts etched. If you are really thinking about doing this I would suggest that you buy a wrecked GT that was totaled due to body damage and use it as your parts car for your change over, it is going to be a lot of work and most shops won't do it cause of federal regulations.
I agree, it will be a lot of work. I personally would purchase a GT and sell yours.
Or could I just put a better engine in it?
With money you can do anything. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/v6-tech/238772-2000-mustang-v6-v8-swap-need-alot-help-please.html....Read Post #5
