Ok I'm a student in the automotive industry, but I'm not in depth on swapping engines, how difficult would it be smooth swap a wrx engine with transmission and drive line into a 99 mustang
That would be a difficult change over, then there is the weight factor vs horsepower of the WRX engine, and you may have difficulty getting the gear ratios to match the rear end in the Mustang, you might be better of putting the Mustang body on a Ford 4X4 running gear and frame, measure the wheel base to find out what would work the best, a Ranger or an F150.
Get a torch and a welder. Ken Block did it to a '65 Mustang.......http://www.roadandtrack.com/car- culture/videos/a6409/ken-block-unveils-hoonicorn-845-hp-awd- 1965-ford-mustang-for-gymkhana-7/
Say What! forget the Subaru junk- like Tom sez, check out the Ken Block Mustang- Hot Rod Magazine- with an insane V-8- might take more than a "torch and a welder" tho-
Subaru motor in a Mustang? That's probably illegal in about 10 states. Why screw up a perfectly good Mustang?
