Car wont accelerate after stopping

Asked by TuckerPunch Aug 25, 2015 at 01:52 PM about the 1998 Honda Accord LX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok here's the information
Car was driving like a  dream. Decided after
doing all preventative maintenance I would
lower the vehicle on tein coilovers.
After that the car started vibrating.
Replaced tires, axles, and tie rods which
fixed the vibrating.Got it aligned and did an
automatic transmission drain and fill using
honda atf-dw1. Ran fine for a couple days.
Come to a random stop light and push on
gas and it doesn't take off its like it's in
neutral for about 2 seconds and the it kicks
into drive and takes off? Would this just be
an unlucky moment for the torque
converter to take a crap?

Check air filter and clean throttle body replace fuel filter add Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner to gas tank.

Dw1 is the replacement for z1 fluid. So it's honda atf. Air filters almost brand new short ram intake. It wouldn't be a fuel issue if I can here the engine raving would it? Also when I let off the brake it starts to roll downhill like it's in neutral even though it's in drive.

Check out the Shift Control Solinoid my wife's vehicle was doing the same thing if she took off fast the vehicle would hesitate for a moment then take off but if she took off slow no problem that turned out to be the problem.
