First off, you should always remove the negative battery cable from the battery before doing any electrical work on the vehicle. You must have shorted some wires causing a fuse to blow. Also when buying the aftermarket headunit, you should have gotten a wiring diagram or purchased one for your specific application, every car and unit is different. You might be able to reuse the stock wiring in some instances, but in some cases run new wires to make the aftermarket unit work correctly in your vehicle. We don't have the wiring diagram to your vehicle, nor do we know the brand and model of the headunit. Contact someone at crutch field, they will be able to help you.
