Why is my ABS light on?
I had my breaks changed and now, all of a sudden, the ABS light came on.
There is no check engine light or other issues with the vehicle. What does this
mean and how can I fix it?
It is on because your car senses a problem with the ABS system. Since you just had your brakes changed, I suspect that a wheel sensor either failed or did not get reconnected properly. It is still safe to drive the car but you will have standard braking - not ABS braking. Return the car to the shop that did the work.
