Honda Accord delayed transmission engagement
I have a 2005 Honda Accord. When I shift into drive the shift indicator does
not indicate drive and the transmission does not engage. After any where
between 5 and 20 seconds the transmission engages and the indicator lights
up. When I drive on the road, it shifts fine and goes through all the gears.
Could a bad transmission range switch cause this, or would it be some other
electrical problem? On a cold start today, it had a very harsh engagement till
the engine warmed up. Could the harsh engagement be due to increased
cold engine RPMs.
