What is causing my sparadic door locking and unlocking problem?

Asked by Guru9TM7D5 Apr 01, 2021 at 12:36 PM about the 2005 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

driver door lock opens with remote while others remain locked. All 4 door
locks will go up and down on their own. While shifting weight in the driver
seat, door locks will go up and down. WITW? Honda dealership said the
front passanger door actuator was bad and it controlled the other door locks.
They replaced it and the all of the locks still go up and down especially with
car running and closing a door.

The actuators are what make the locks go up and down , they only do exactly that so since they are going up and down all your actuators should be fine. Sounds to me like there is a crossover connection somewhere in your wiring. Perhaps a frayed wire is making a connection with another frayed wire somewhere in the door controls wiring/seat area. That's my best guess given the craziness you're experiencing. I'd start by checking the connections at the door control and the seat control. Maybe trace them back and see if they meet anywhere.
