Bluetooth Help!!!

I have just bought a a 2015 Mini Convertible. I can get my phone (iPhone 7
plus) to connect to the bluetooth but when i want to play music i have to
connect my phone to the USB port, this doesn't even play the music i can only
see what should be playing on the screen but no sound. when i put my phone
the aux cable the music plays but the bluetooth isn't connected. any help???
