Me and my friend have an ongoing debate. He says that a Hellcat Challenger could beat a Posche Cayman at a race on a Formula 1 track.

Asked by christoph123 Feb 06, 2015 at 04:06 PM about the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat RWD

Question type: General

My argument is that yes the Hellcat has
707BHP but the handling and turning ability
is too poor to beat the Cayman. And that
the Caymans handling and ability to take a
corner with speed is good enough to make
up for the lack of power. He says that the
Hellcats sheer speed is enough to make up
for the lack of handling. Could you please
give us your opinion.

Somebody would have to drive each car to really answer that. The Hellcat is one pin-you-in-the-seat car, no doubt. On an oval track I vote Dodge, but that's just an amateur guess.

Depends on the track and the number of turns. The Hellcat will be fast as hell in the straights and off of the corners, but the Cayman would out corner the Hellcat. I would think the tighter the track the more the advantage would be for the Cayman. Cayman S would be quicker. This argument is like comparing apples to tangerines. Hellcat = 1/4 mile and Cayman = road course.

What Bob says is correct, the Helcat with an novice driver will crash keeping up with the Cayman both being novice drivers lol no doubt!
