Gas Needle

Asked by Jun 06, 2014 at 10:01 PM about the 1997 GMC Yukon SL 2dr

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't know what happened but just recently my gas needle won't stop spinning. It only stays still when my gas is on full tank. What can I do to fix this & will it be costly?

That sounds like a wiring or connector problem or it could be the fuel sender is going bad,on GM when there is an open circuit the gauge will go on up to the stop, if there is no stop it will just go around and around.
