Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Subaru 2015 Outback and found out that need transmission, I called
the dealer and said is out of warranty and will cost me $7,000 for a new one.
Independent Repair said $4000. It has 112,000 miles on it.
I saw some recalls on 2015 Subaru outback, Subaru will give me $1,000 to
trade in.

Have you complained directly to Subaru of America? They might help you out if you call them. At this point I would look for a good used transmission and then dump the car and never buy a Subaru again.

Are they actually offering you $1,000 for your car? Subaru buyers need to be warned that their $30,000 car will lose $29,000 of value in only 4 years!!!

@GuruH9TXC I have a 2011 Subaru outback and am looking at the same issue. I have 137K miles. I have contacted the dealer, but have not contacted SOA yet. Pretty ridiculous to offer 1K for the vehicle as a trade-in! Just wanted to follow you to see if you have any luck and can offer any advice.
