No power to the car at all

Asked by Guru9Z6V96 Dec 17, 2020 at 06:38 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Equinox 1LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced my battery in my 2015 Chevy Equinox.  Fixed my no start problem.
A day later I got in the car and I had absolutely no power to the car.  No dome
light, no dash light no nothing.  I disconnected the positive cable, put it back
on and it fixed the problem.  It’s been fine for a couple of days now.   Now I’m
afraid to let the wife take it as I’m no sure if it will happen again.  Any ideas?

The post weren’t tight enough. By the way, did you clean the battery posts? If not, do that and add battery grease.

Here’s what I do. Clean the battery posts (both), use battery grease and torque to manufacturers recommendation.

Clean and really tighten both ends of the positive cable.
