Weird issues with 06 ford police interceptor

Asked by Aleatra Sep 13, 2015 at 09:04 PM about the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So i have some odd issues with my police
interceptor. A couple of weeks ago it
randomly died while driving. No sputtering
before hand. Just died, like someone took
the key out. It hasnt done it since but im
assuming my crankshaft position sensor is
oxidizing as we have had heavy rain out
here and i have driven through lots of
puddles on the road. Now today the car
startes sputtering while idiling at a light. I
kept it from dying but down the road it tried
to die again. This time my ac got really hot
and my check engine light blinked at me. I
pulled over and unplugged my pcm and it
drove fine the rest of the way home.
Another thing to note is i recently replaced
the spark plugs.
