i have a 1987 ford f150 with 5.0 was running fine then went to start it up and would not run .it will start but dies when i let off switch

Has been switched to carburator will manual pump.was running fine but now
when u try to start it up it fires but dies as soon as u let off switch like
something is killing fire. It has gas i just put some in before i got home

Sounds like a faulty ignition switch, easy to replace. on the steering column under the plastic trim. Check U2 for a few replacement vids.
