Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 88 caprice my old 305 lock up on me so I
swap with another 305 I set timing correct but still
not starting up. Will I have to redo the compression
to go get my tdc?

make sure your timing isn't 180 degrees off. you could have been on the exhaust stroke with tdc instead of the compression stroke.
