Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1987 Caprice classic, if I pour gas in the carb it will
start, but every once in a while it won't receive gas
on it's own. If I pump the gas pedal I don't see any
gas spraying into the carb.i replaced fuel pump,.

You don't mention the size engine, so does this have a TBI or a carburetor on this? If it is a TBI you will not see gas when you pump the throttle. It is electrically controlled by the ECU. Never the less, change out the fuel filter, a plugged fuel filter will restrict the gas flow.
