what is the original carburator for 1984 Caprice Classic Coupe 2-Door 5.0L 305Cu.?

the previous owner of my 84 caprice coupe replaced the original carburetor with a Rochester Quadra Jet carb. which is causing all kind of problems.

can somebody tell me what as the original carburetor for my car?

When I had an '84, same car, my GM mechanic father inlaw told me in that year they added a module to the carb that would frequently malfunction. Mine did too. I decided to not spend the $500.00, price at the time, to replace it. It tended to run rich and go through purge pumps even using top tier gas.
