Bronco 2 4wd front wheels locked up

Asked by Mar 25, 2016 at 10:35 AM about the 1988 Ford Bronco II XL 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Front wheels locked up when in gear. Brake pedal has no play, was plowing
deep snow when happened. Truck will roll forward in neutral but feels like
front brakes are locked, or could it be a spindle bearing...

Sounds like it needs to thaw out. Should get it into a warm garage.

Had the same thing happen to my little Bronco, it was close to needing front brakes so I replaced the front calipers and both front brake hoses, flushed the fluid and no more problem.
