i have a 1988 for bronco 2 it has a brand new shift motor 4 wheel drive i changed the module and the 4 wheel light comes on because its in 4 wheel drive but it wont shift at all is there any thing els

Is the transfer case in good shape? Did you make sure the shift motor was in the correct position to match the transfercase location ie 4 Hi or 4Lo or neutral? Have you tried removing the shift motor and grounding it with all of the wiring hooked up try to make it run by activating the 4X4?
