My 1997 dodge intrepid will make the relay click but struggle to start. Once it is started and it runs for a little bit it will start up fine. If it sits for more than eight hours it will just click once the key is turned. After trying a few times we can manage to start it. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I would tighten and clean the battery connections. A dirty connection will make one do as yours is doing. Also clean and tighten the negative connections on the frame and motor
