VW passat 2012 se. The drivers side window button looks like it has become unattached but won't come out of the framing. Anyone know a way to either take the controls out or fix this button?

The drivers window switch is most likely oart of the assembly with the other window controls and rear window lockout. Should be attached to the surrounding door pull from underneath.

to fix youl probly need a whole new cluster of the switchs but most of vw's switchs are commanly singles. Find a wreckers or hit up the dealer. To remove the door panel is ussaly easy and the same for most modals. Remove the screws at each end of the door near the weather striping of the door for the window. Then there will be either a screw behind the door pull handle or you pop out the inside of the door grab handles and remove two screwes. then pull door panel up and back towards yourself.
