My car will start makes like a whine noise, if you give it to much gas it will try
to shut off but if you barely tough pedal it will go , we took to pay a bill and it
got hot and we had to let it cool down before it would go again. What could
this be please any advise is helpful I just need it fixed I have children and
need my car to work in order to provide. Thank u all so much

A bad fuel pump would not cause overheating. There's too many unknown factors to suggest what is wrong with your car, but you have to address the overheating first. The whining could be a vacuum leak and that would affect the throttle, so look for one around the throttle body, PCV, and EGR.
