Intermittent dieing

Asked by Chris Feb 22, 2018 at 11:37 AM about the 1998 Dodge Dakota RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 Dodge Dakota 2wd 3.9L 5 speed
that will shut off completely when slowing
down or idling with the clutch engaged only
after the truck warms up. Trying to narrow
down the problem before sinking a lot of
money into unnecessary parts.

1 Answer

Seems simple but check the battery connection. My 98 Dodge Dakota Sport died once when I was offroading and when I checked the battery cable it was loose, when I tightened it...Problem fixed.
