This has happened multiple times for me, and the fix has been the same twice now in the last year. A faulty CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ($15 @ O'reilleys or autozone). Car would continue to die mid flight and refuse to start after until sitting for 20 minutes and sometimes would take a day. Would go from running perfect to stuttering and once turned off, would not turn back over. I guess this is a common issue and most symptoms point to this. It is a cheap and easy fix, 30 minutes of work and 3 bolts. Try pulling the codes and see if it has thrown this at all in the past. Hope this helps.
