2013 Hyundai Sonata

Asked by James Jun 30, 2022 at 09:36 AM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had the EPS light along with the check engine, oil and battery light come on
while driving, and the engin shut off and wont restart. Pulled the battery and its
good and charged so the battery and alternator are good. have not done a code
test yet to see what it comes up with. Just looking for ideas at this point.
Thanks!

If you pulled the battery then you lost the codes. Removing main power can cause the computers to loose or corrupt programming requiring a system reflash. To prevent this you need a saver tool that plugs into the OBD 2 port. So now you have to start all over.

Did you find out what was wrong with your car? I have the same problem with mine, EPS, Battery Light and check engine light

That sounds like the engine lawsuit recall. It's for safety because some of these engines catch on fire or just shut down due to hybrid failure. Check your VIN for Recall 198 & Service Campaign 966.
