Truck is not recognizing that it's in park or neutral when it's hot outside

Asked by Tosha Jun 11, 2020 at 07:23 AM about the 2002 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 dodge dakota and during the
summer months I can get it to start usually only
once I've changed the o2 sensor the spark plugs
and ignition coils but it's still doing it. Any ideas

Check your sensor that runs to the gas pedal or your modulator sensor is bad or throttle body could be bad the modulator coils could be sending out a bad code.
