at what speed does the 2012 suburban k1500 front airbags deploy?
2012 chevy k1500 suburban was involved in a front end collision and the airbags did not deploy-at what speed are they supposed to?
There is no set speed for the airbags to go off, it's more to do wiih what the sensors record at the moment of impact and if that impact is hard enough to trigger the airbags and the crumple zones are not enough the protect the occupants from harm.
dariue is correct . speed dose not determin the deployment. impact force dose simply stated if you were parked and you were hit your air bag could deploy
I thought at one time it was set at 5 mph, but it may have changed over the years. Then we are dealing with on old memory here that should or had his air bags deployed long ago.
