Truck won't start

Asked by Mar 12, 2016 at 02:38 PM about the 1984 Dodge RAM 150 Long Bed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't know what it is but I just bought a new
battery new starter and new fuel pump and it's
getting fuel yet it won't even act like it wants to
crank I need some ideas I really don't even know if
it's firing?

1 Answer

Is the truck turning over is the engine cranking..?If it is...then you need to check for spark...Disconect the coil wire from the middle of the distributer, and place it next to a piece of metel, and have someone turn the key to start the truck. If you see a spark then your getting fire,...if you don't then you'll broberly need either a pick up coil or moduale...Good Luck..
