I have a 2012 caravan. It came with 1 key (not original).
I have a 2012 caravan that was a rental vehicle. It came with 1 key (not original). The key has remote start (onther than lock/unlock), the van does not (known for sure). The van has power doors/hatch which are suppose to be remote. I purchased keys with the features (door open/close buttons) on them. If I take the old key (not original) and the new ones to the dealer for programming, will the new button features work(door/hatch open/close)?
Not sure how it will work out, but taking your van to the dealer for a new key/fob and programming, they will be able to get it all worked out. Most cars today require at least 1 sometimes 2 working original keys/fobs to program a second or third. Check your owners manual for more information.
