No power at all after new battery

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a problem with a car I just bought.  It has
been sitting two years and I put a new battery in,
but no power to anything.  Saw similar problem
and answer was a simple under hood 100 amp
fuse.  It was dark and raining, so I could not check
the fuses and car is an hour away.  I assume that
might be it.  However, want to take all parts
needed.  Is the fuse a 100 amp maxi simple two
prong or different as I saw it is bolt through?  Just
curious if I can get it at Auto parts or must go to
dealership.  The negative battery cable was really
frayed badly, so pulled it out and hopefully a
standard cable from Auto parts will work?  Advice
on either or both would be extremely helpful.
Thank you in advance!

If you have time might want to go to a Pull A Part or Pick N Pull type salvage yard and grab yourself an entire battery harness from a similar vehicle. Otherwise you will likely be okay with a universal type. Check what type of fusible links this vehicle may have. If anyone had ever overloaded or reversed the polarity of the batt cables, those can blow. In addition to a mega fuse, may want to bring a kit of fuses, just to be prepared. Hopefully you have auto parts stores or Honda dealerships near the car in case you need additional parts.

Thank you. I put new battery cables and fuse. The car turns over strong, but will not start. I assume fuel pump? Or maybe I just need more fuel on top of the old gas?

Update...changed relay under steering and tried to start so much ran the new battery dead. I have no idea what to do next. Set it on fire?

After solving the power problem, it would crank strong, but never a hint of firing. I added nearly 10 gallons of premium gas...still no start. Replaced the big relay under the dash. It's hard to check other things going solo, but must be fuel or spark, right?

Could be, but there's not much anyone online can suggest without being able to examine the car itself. When you turn the key to on you should be able to hear the fuel pump. If not try checking the fuel pump relay and fuse.

I replaced the fuel pump fuse in the driver side panel ( mini) and the big relay up under dash. I could not hear the pump at all. Is there any other fuse or relay I might be missing aside from the 2 I replaced?

Also, the guy at the auto parts store told me to see if I had pressure by carefully pushing on a shraider valve, but could not find one. Where might that be?
