Question type: Maintenance & Repair

was running fine. Died out at a stoplight. Jumped it and started right up and ran for another couple weeks before it was parked for about a month. Started up and while driving the rear defroster was put on at about the same time that the car died out. Haven't been able to start it since. Put in new battery just to rule that out. Turns over fine but doesn't fire up. Used starter fluid but no help. My daughter's first car and I can't figure it out or don't know where to look further. Please help with any suggestions. Thank you.

Thank you, I have not. Do you know the best way to check the fuel pump that is in the gas tank?
