My Chrysler sebring coolant resovoir is bubbling. Why?

Asked by Robert Jul 21, 2015 at 07:40 PM about the 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXi Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my Sebring and turned on the air condition. At first the air hesitated to blow, but the longer I drove it the stronger it blew. When I parked the car I heard  a hissing and bubbling sound. I opened the hood, and notice that the coolant resovoir was bubbling and hissing. What's the problem?

When the coolant in my reservoir was bubbling and hissing, my heads had blown. Car kept overheating and ended up in the shop for over a month to replace the heads.
