I heard the S60 has a very wide turning radius. Has that been a problem for anyone? Also, I heard the car has alot of weight in the front. Does that cause any handling problems?

It does have a wide turning radius for such a small car. It's not a problem, it can be annoying on occasion. Just go around the block instead of a U turn.

Absolutely too dangerous for making highway U turns where speeding oncoming cars are coming at you real fast. This car requires four lanes or more to make a U turn that my V70 and 850 wagons could easily do with only one and a half lanes. Also takes 3 1/2 times longer to park in the same parking garage stall. Way worse than a pickup truck. No wonder Volvos arn't selling anymore, for the feature that made Volvos popular (tight turning radius) is gone.

The turning circle and radius on the Volvo S60 is so bad. You have to be kidding me! it makes me wonder; are these Swedish Engineers even trying! I don't think these cars should even be allowed to be driven in the U.S.A. It is the least agile car I have ever driven, parking with this car is a nightmare, and making U turns also. Shame on you Volvo!

Ever made a 4 or 5 point turn? You will in a 2003 s60. No matter how long you’ve driven it you’ll still feel like a dumbass when people watch in amazement at the awkwardness of trying to fit in a parking spot. Love my little 2.4t that’s been in the family for 15 of its 18yrs. Only at 133k miles. Engine runs great, but it’s getting to the point of spending more & more time going to the repair shop. Age is taking a toll. Paint shows signs of having only been garaged pet of its life. Leather shows little wear which I imagine is due to lower mileage and regular cleaning & conditioning. I really thought I’d drive her til she seized of high mileage but I have my eye on another Volvo now…
