What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Volvo S60?

At 66.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Should I buy a 2018 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,846, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $14,370 average.
• It adds a more athletic look and a stronger emphasis on style and value.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative with a stronger style focus, the 2019 is the secondary path to consider.
