Is the 2023 Volvo S60 a good car?

The 2023 Volvo S60 stands out as a compact luxury sedan that blends Scandinavian design, strong safety credentials, and a broad range of powertrains. It also offers a premium-feeling cabin with high-quality materials, superb build quality, comfortable seats, and a generous list of standard equipment, including a panoramic moonroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch touchscreen.

For you, that means the S60 makes the most sense if you want a stylish, well-equipped sedan with a strong safety reputation rather than a car that prioritizes sporty handling. 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Volvo S60 reliable?

The 2023 Volvo S60 stands out for its strong safety credentials and refined design, and its standard equipment and build quality support a reassuring ownership experience. It also carries Volvo’s refined design language and safety systems in a smaller, sleeker package.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium sedan with multiple powertrain choices can become more expensive to maintain if you buy a poorly cared-for example, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Volvo S60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should also prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the condition of the powertrain, electronics, and interior features. Focus on signs of wear that could affect comfort or ownership costs, especially if the car has higher mileage or a complex equipment package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Volvo S60?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 668 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,336, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $27,336 sits slightly below last year's $32,016.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well you preserve the car’s condition and how carefully you document maintenance. A clean history and strong presentation should matter more than chasing a specific trim or feature set.

Should I buy a 2023 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.62% compared with last year.
