if the ignition goes bad on a chrysler 200 could it make other things stop working
my 2011 cyrsler 200 stared this morning so i took it to the shop they said it had all kind of codes coming in and even the radio quit talking to the computer and went out called back today and now there saying they have to change something else in the ignition is this car a lemon or are they just guessing and why are all these codes popping up could the ignition do this also when i shut the car off it thinks the key is still in the ignition keeping the dash lights on its been at the shop 2 days i think they are guessing cause of all the codes im afraid of it being a short somewere or could it just be the ignition doing this.
i meant to say yesterday morning but in any event im getting nervous
Yes the ignition switch is connected to a lot of things. Just for kicks though, before you replace any more parts have your battery load tested. A weak battery can make your cars computer do all kinds of weird things. The battery has to be fully charged to perform this test. So if you have driven it quite a while, or if you have put the battery on a charger, this is when it can be load tested.
Thanks I'm worried its in the shop I'll find out tomorrow after they change the ignition module and the ignition switch I pray it works I need my car to get to work
My 2011 Chrysler 200 the ABS light came on while driving but it went off and then the wiggly car light came on and off on and off continue to go on and off so I shut the car down because my AC was blowing out cold then it blows out warm then it went back to toll now my car will not start what could be the problem do you think it's an air compressor or a module
