I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT Hemi wagon that does the same thing IF you fill the tank over the 3/4 mark. There was a know issue on Dodge and Chrysler cars where the float in the gas tank would swell up and cause a starvation of gasoline to the engine if you fill the tank up too much. I had the same problem where filled my tank with gas until it clicked off and added more gas until the pump clicked the second time. I started my car, drove it to the stop light...it stalled...restarted it...went another 300 to 400 feet and it stalled while driving it. IF I DO NOT fill the tank up all the way, and or leave it around 3/4 of a tank the problem DOES NOT occur. There used to be a recall on the gas tanks for a faulty float in the tank for certain Dodge and Chrysler cars...do a Google Search on Dodge and Chrysler gas tank issues causing car to stall while driving. You may or may not find it, so I wish you luck whatever you DO...don't overfill your tank when gassing up.

I found another set of people having the same issues and it WAS pointed to the fuel tank. I copied the information for you guys and am pasting it here...: The problem is caused by the fuel tank. There is a valve/float inside that when you fill the gas tank full the valve closes, gets stuck and doesn't allow the fuel tank to vent which causes it to stall. There is a lifetime warranty on the fuel tank and the dealer will change it for free. See this link for more information: https://customerconnect.custhelp.com/app/fiat/b2c_detail/a_id/24687 I wanted to also state MOST Dealers are probably NOT aware of this, or are going to play stupid about it because it costs Dodge/Chrysler money for parts and labor to swap the tank. Good Luck...I just don't fill my tank up all the way and the problem doesn't come back....when the problem DID occur...there was a warning dinging and the RPMS dropped and the OIL light came on when the motor stalled...so research this and good luck. I haven't gone to Dodge about mine yet because I can prevent it from happening by not over fueling the tank.
