my 1991 deville starts intermitten, it's not the battery, what could it be?

either the starter solenoid or the ignition module over the steering column.

My starter has gone out like 3 times on my 1990 Deville. It only starts sometimes when it's going out because the brushes in the motor may not be lined up right. Next time it won't start have someone turn the key while u tap the starter with a hammer.
