Find the leak and fix it, radiator--radiator hose--water pump--gasket somewhere-- maybe a heater hose? When the engine is cooling, it pulls a vacuum, that is what pulls coolant from the reservoir. If cooling system isn't sealed, can't pull coolant from reservoir. With a system that has radiator cap, cool engine, always remove cap and check coolant in radiator as well as reservoir. Just my opinion.

That would indicate a leak in the cooling system. Hopefully just a bad hose but could be something worse. Need to get under the car and locate the source of the leak.
