the co-pilot wheel of my 2011 Explorer sounds like loose when driven in irregular road
and it actually feels a sutil knock on the steering wheel when driving. It does like a toc-
toc type of sound. I have tried older explorers and their front wheels feel much "tighter"
and with no sound or feel. I have taken it to service but they don't seem to get the
problem. What can this be?
Take it to another shop, feeling it in the steering wheels says you have something that is worn or loose in the suspension. Check the lug nuts, tie rod ends, struts, etc. A tire shop is usually a good place for an accurate evaluation as they usually will perform alignments on a daily basis.
