i just recently tested out the "sport mode" on my 2003 bmw 325i. ive been playing with it all day with no problems on the highway on my way to work, home, ect. but in the alley i used it and was going 50 mph in the alley and came to a quick stop at my house and as i pulled into the garage there was rumbling and i just heard a lot of gurgling and now im afraid that i damaged the transmission or something. and can someone explain if theres a safe way to use it, ive been maneuvering around cars all day and going 80 around the tollways, will this damage the transmission and is it safe to use in the streets? i dont mean to sound like an immature child with his first car haha but i just recently started using this feature
Gurgling could be the coolant. Let it cool down and check to see if your coolant level is where it should be. Here is some info you need to know in owning an E46, this site has helped me in maintaining my 330i.....http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php? t=914109&highlight=proper+way+to+bleed
