throttle stuck wide open

My throttle linkage cable gets jammed sometimes when I put the pedal to the floor. When I pop the hood I see that the
issue is that the small nut next to the metal clip on the end of the cable isn't connected to anything anymore. Can i buy
that nut somewhere or do i need to buy the entire cable?

Wow..that is dangerous..not do much if you pay attention and get it shut off, but it can over rev and blow your engine...anyway I am sure you can buy the nut, but you may want to consider have a mechanic take a look to make sure there are no other issues..David I am not accusing you of being incompetent or anything else, you are 98% chance smarter than me, it's just a dangerous situation, throttles getting stuck

Replace the entire cable. I once had mine snap on a Friday afternoon in rush hour traffic. You will be glad you did. For less than $20, do it and be safe.
