Question type: General

I have the 5 digit code for my 2011 ford Taurus
keyless entry, but it's not working. Any ideas?

I found my code on my Ford Escape by looking on YouTube for the location of the control unit. Also, Ford will check for about $65.

If you have the code and it won't accept it...With the key in your pocket and the doors closed press each button 1 at a time waiting for the light to go off after each button to see if all of them will turn on the lights. If no lights come on at all or with the individual buttons it's probably the touchpad. You also need to check if it will lock the doors, press the 7/8, 9/0 buttons at the same time. The touchpad is exposed to the elements and is more prone to failure than the rest of its security parts. Do you have the factory remote you can lock and unlock the doors with?

If you have the original owners manual packet, there should be a business size card in it with the master code. If it is not there, you might find it on or around the RH fuse panel.

Same thing going on with mine. I will have to replace the keyless pad. The #5 button is not registering to the computer.
