Beep when holding brake down hard
Why is there a beep, like a warning, when I push
down really hard in my brakes? For example, I have
to reach back to unbuckle my child's belt. I put my
foot hard on the break and push as I lean way back
to reach her. The car then screams at me with a
The braking system is sensing too much pedal pressure for the state of the vehicle, like your not moving, so your getting a warning, there may also be a light on the dash but you don't see it cause you release the pedal. If you keep doing this you can cause premature brake system failure due too blown seals in the master cylinder and worst case fracture the bulkhead right where the master cylinder is attached. Find a different way of unlatching you child, possibly getting out of the vehicle and doing it from back there.
