2010 Tahoe won’t start

Asked by Peerlesslady Mar 11, 2021 at 08:53 AM about the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe LT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed the valve body in transmission on 2010
Chevy Tahoe now it won’t start... the lights come
on, the door chimes.... won’t turn over at all.
Changed the starter, ignition switch, crank sensor.
Also changed gear shift sensor (not sure if that’s
what it’s called)... was turning over and starting fine
before changing the valve body. Any ideas would
be very helpful.

Because you worked on the transnmission, there may be problem with park/neutral circuit? If your saying the starter motor won't crank the engine? At the top, in diagram, ecm right side, see the p/n, that is park /neutral. Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good? I see two fuses, in diagram, the 175 amp fuse, hot all the time. the 40 amp starter fuse, goes hot when starter relay is energized, use a test light, check voltage at those fuses, the key has to be in crank position for start fuse to go hot. you may be able to pull starter relay, use jumper wire, on switch side of relay, terminals 30 and 87 in diagram. The starter motor should crank the engine, if you leave key in on position, dash lights on, depending on the problem, it may crank and run? If you try jumping the relay, make sure transmission is in park or neutral, parking brake set, vehicle can't move. I can only help with testing. good luck
