2010 tahoe lt tranny

Asked by Jun 12, 2016 at 02:52 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2010 tahoe lt is not engaging  when put into
drive or reverse. When I hit the pedal, it engages a
split second after. Downshift are hard when driving
up hill at 60mph also. That has been for a few
weeks. Fluid was at cold line, I added about 4-5 oz
of LUCAS Tranny Stop Slip 24 hours ago. The
engaging issue just started this afternoon

Sounds like you are having the typical transmission shift solenoid problems. I would recommend that you take it to a tranny shop, they can plugin and check the solenoid operation overriding the on- board system and then can tell you if it is solenoids or a control unit.

Ok thanks. I've heard abt that issue. I'll post the out come.
