Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a computer complaint to replace the Auxiliary Battery in my 2010 E350 Mercedes sedan. I CAN'T FIND IT!!! I've looked under the driverside dash.. not there, Passenger side trunk, Passenger under back seat, Passenger side under hood near the firewall. BIZARRE... how the dam thing isn't on a website or manual.. easy for someone to look up..  Help please.. I bought the battery.. about the size of a small motorcycle battery.. but don't know where it goes to replace.

Thank you JoeMom... I actually found this same page and took the two panels off myself.. but didn't see the dang battery.. Ill take another look this evening.. its like Houdini.. so irritating.. If I find it, I will let you know.. but seriously.. I looked and it didn't seem to be there.. maybe it is tucked against the wall or something... because looking into it.. looks like picture "4" where there is just an open cavern. Thanks.. Ill give it another look when I get home.

did you open the PDF in that thread that gave you the instructions on how to remove it ?

Joemom SUCCESS!!! It was stuck up inside against the outside wall under the dash. So take off bottom panel as best possible. Several electrical lines hanging around. Take off side dash panel. Unscrew big screw that holds up the battery cage. Slide battery out of battery cage and unplug. Then reverse all that with new battery. Success!! Crazy how little good clear info there is and how Mercedes in DALLAS/Plano was not helpful at all.

How did you get the side panel off? It is seated VERY firmly.
