My car started clicking above the glove compartment when I turned on the AC this morning. It also took a few minutes to shut off after turning off the ignition.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I googled it and it said it was an actuator.  What is this and how much would it be to
repair it,, parts and labor?

That is correct. It is most likely the blending door actuator that is making the clicking sound. These seem to be a prominent issue with GM. While the blending door actuator is only around $30.00, you will have to call around to your local shops to see what their labor cost would be for this job. Typically in my area the labor cost at a reputable shop is in the area of around $100/hr. Call around to get estimates.

Do these need to be recalculated or anything? Are they just plug and play?
